Health and safety at work

Proper professional work not only requires perfect materials and tool quality – factors such as safety at work must also be observed.

Statistically, most accidents take place in the home or during DIY activities. Commercial activities must comply with health and safety stipulations and the legal framework. What applies for professionals regarding safety should also be conscientiously taken to heart by amateur DIY enthusiasts.

Always wear close-fitting clothing, gloves and
sturdy shoes!

Always protect your eyes when sawing and sanding!

Protect yourself from noise pollution!
Circular saws, for example, have a sound level of above 100 dB and can damage hearing.

Tools required

All tools are to be used in compliance with their producer’s instructions. The following tools are required for the efficient laying of the profiles:

  • Folding rule or tape measure
  • Spirit level
  • Carpenter’s square
  • Cordless screwdriver
  • Electric jigsaw
  • ideally: electrical crosscut and mitre saws with hard-metal saw blades

The sub-assembly

We recommend a sub-assembly made of galvanised steel pipes. Alternatively, wood, aluminium, concrete or plastic can be used. The minimum width of the supporting profiles is 30 mm.

Installation instructions

Step 1

Mount the first floor board exactly as shown above.

Ensure that you use the right order and that the screws are inserted vertically. In the case of a sub-structure made of galvanised steel pipes it is essential to use the screws provided (5.5 x 32 and 4.2 x 45). In the case of wood or stone please use Spax Torx screws (5.0 x 60).

When laying the aluminium boards ensure a distance of at least 10 mm to fixed building structures. It is recommended that boards are laid with a gradient of at least 5 mm/m to ensure that rainwater can run off.

Step 2

Hold the next flooring board vertical to the board that has already been laid, as shown above.

Step 3

Then move this board down with light pressure until it lies horizontally on the sub-structure.

Step 4

Step 5

Lay down all the other flooring board in the same way.

Step 6

Depending on the construction project, you will need various accessories, all of which are listed in detail in the delivery program.
